G20 Music

Oh man there is so much crap going on right now. I've renamed Toronto "Beirut" for the weekend. The city is so weird - no traffic as everyone is "working" from home, but there are sirens all over, helicopters flying by, escorted motorcades, 10 foot security fences, businesses boarded up in case of riots/looting/thuggery, and a general feeling of unease. I'm sure local businesses are losing tons of money. Two of my good friends are getting married tomorrow just north of the "official protest zone," I have to fly to Boston on Sunday last minute for work, I'm absorbed in the World Cup, I need to finish my NXNE reports, and I really need a haircut. I'm dealing with a lot of shit here! So let's kick this off with some G20 music.

On top of everything, I just got a new computer and I haven't transferred everything over yet. I need to add some Anti-Flag to this mix. And some Public Enemy. Fight the power!

Killing in the Name

True story: Last year I was flying from Chicago to Toronto, and while I was in the customs line at Pearson International Airport, I noticed Tom Morello eight or nine people in front of me in line. When he turned the corner in the line so that he was facing me, I looked him right in the eye and said, "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me." He replied, "Who the fuck are you? Shut the fuck up."

In honor of the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis this week...
